Local Management. Global Reach...

Elsevier is the world's largest and most prestigious publisher of Scientific, Technical and Medical Information via an extensive Books and Journals publishing program, both print and on-line.

Established in 2004 Elsevier Australia commenced its Journals program with the publication of Heart, Lung and Circulation on behalf of ASCTS and CSANZ. Since then, the following societies and associations - CENA, ACM, SMA and ACCCN - have joined Elsevier in partnership to publish their journals (under the motto Local management.)

Our new local journal program emphasises our commitment to regional Society journal publishing, providing local services and management, coupled with international marketing and distribution. Our local publishing professionals work closely with colleagues in Elsevier's main journals publishing centres, such as New York, Amsterdam and Oxford, and our global sales organisation, to ensure that your journal gains maximum exposure both online and in print.

ADVERTISING RATE CARD

Women and Birth publishes on all matters that affect women and birth, from pre-conceptual counselling, through pregnancy, birth, and early parenting. We are interested in articles on issues relevant to the full scope of midwifery practice as defined by the International Confederation of Midwives (2005). We are also concerned with the longer term health effects of childbearing for women and babies. Our woman-centred focus is inclusive of the woman's baby, unborn, newborn and infant, both well and ill, and covers both normal and complex pregnancies. The Journal seeks papers from midwives, other health professionals, consumers and scholars from other disciplines who have a contribution to make to our understanding of matters affecting women and birth. Sociologists, anthropologists, economists and historians are also invited to submit papers. The types of papers we will consider include research reports, both qualitative and quantitative, methodology papers, theoretical and philosophical papers, case studies and literature reviews. Clinical practice updates, opinion pieces and book reviews may also be submitted for consideration
